Wild Dozen Day 6

It’s day 6 of Boot Camp, food rations are not running low…

It’s hard to put into a blog how I’m feeling but here it goes. My brain has never been packed full of more useful knowledge, I’m know I’m exhausted but I’m just so dang excited about everything that it doesent even matter. People told me that the Wild Dozen would turn into a little family by the end of the week and they couldn’t have been more right.

I was lucky enough to be paired with Ryan Langlois for my co-write and Spencer Cheyne who is our producer extrodianre! We cut vocals on monday night and it was a the most magical experience. People started to pack our studio, we had a crowd of 20 people cheering for us after each vocal take! Soon enough we had a guitar solo stand off between Russell, Matty and Lucas with cheers erupting after each shred! Ryan got up on one of the bunks and led the crowd in a gang vocal part for the song and a 3:35 perfectly on beat clapping session! Everyone was so into the music, we created something out of pure joy and emotion and I couldn’t be more proud.

The showcases wrapped up last night! murder ballads, fist pumping and two stepping were just a few highlights! Everyone showcased exactly who they were as individuals and more so their craft. I’m grateful to have been witness to such talent, let alone be a part of it.

The night ended with a jam session in the smoke shack led by Karac, and a choir vocal recording for Lucette and Karac’s co-write. IM SO SAD this is the last full day but I can’t wait to soak it all in tonight with all these friends I’ve found and rock out to each others tunes during the listening party !!

Stay tuned for a sappy wrap up post tomorrow !!
