As an east coast raised kid, the closest thing we have to a mountain is a hill… A very small hill… So since moving to Alberta, I absolutely love getting the chance to visit the mountains. They always amaze me. And this place, RockRidge Canyon is BEAUTIFUL. I’ve seen pictures of this place, but like they say, pictures sure do not do justice. I went to summer camps with my church as a kid growing up, but no where near as cool as this place. Being completely surrounded by mountains, in the middle of nowhere, this place serves the title WILD perfectly.
Just when I thought it couldn’t get more WILD, we had the hockey game, faculty vs artists. Yep.. as it sounds that was WILD too. We gave it all we had but we had a hard loss. (Although they’re team was double our size 😉 lots of fresh legs.)
I have only been here 24 hours, and I have not felt this great in a long time. Already having so much fun and bonding with some amazing people. It is still unreal to me to be here and be a part of this program. Its things like this that make what we get to do as artists so darn cool, and make me really appreciate the opportunities that come with the passion of music.
I can’t wait for the rest of the time here and to make more WILD memories with this awesome crew.
