A great friend once told me that a blog should be one of three things; educational, inspirational, or funny. I’ve done a funny one(at least I chuckled), I’m saving up the inspirational one for the end of camp(when I’m overtired, and emotional:), which leaves me with ‘educational’.
To educate, one must be educated in a particular field(at least I imagine that being the case), and at the moment I am feeling most educated in quality leather upkeep for gigging musicians.
Step 1 – remove dusty and beaten up boots
Step 2 – plug nose due to stench of socked fee
Step 3 – SPIT on boots and use dry rag to clean
Step 4- use a horse hair brush and give the boots a good rubbin’
Step 5- apply a healthy dollop of Leather Better(my fave right now and it’s Canadian made!).
Step 6 – use a horse hair brush and give the boots a good rubbin’
Step 7 – be the envy of all of your musician friends
This process can also be used for all of your quality leather goods. Including but not limited to; watch bands, guitar straps, slippers, wallets, and pants.
Be educated my friends.
