
Tanya Ryan BIO
She has been described as the musical love child of Jason Mraz and Patsy Cline; smooth classic vocals with a modern approach to delivery and songwriting. Tanya Ryan moved from Saskatoon, SK in 2008 and has rooted herself in the Foothills of Alberta where she has been honing and shaping her musicianship by playing numerous venues interprovincially. In 2014 Tanya was selected, among 5 others across Canada, to represent rising talent in the Canadian Country Music Association’s ‘Discovery Program’; she’s been a regular performer on the Nashville North Stage during the Calgary Stampede and has more recently been a part of Alberta music festivals Big Valley Jamboree and Country Thunder, sharing a stage with many talented artists including: Duane Steele, Aaron Pritchett, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Tim Hicks and more. Through 2011-2013 she’s been the title recipient of nearly every major music-based competition in Southern Alberta including: Ponoka Stampede Talent Competition, Nashville North Star and Ranchman’s Rising Star, just to name a few.
